Advocacy for Everyone - Monday, February 10th, 7-8PM, Eckstein Library
Have you ever wanted to make change at your local school, the city, the state? Improving the lives of children and youth is in the very DNA of PTA. This presentation and workshop covers the historical changes led by National and State PTA. The workshop will show you how-to strategy and how you can advocate for changes in your world.
 
Led by Heidi Bennett, WSPTA Region 6 Advocacy Chair and recipient of the WSPTA 2019  Advocate of the Year Award.
Followed immediately by our PTSA Board meeting.


Fruit Tree Pruning

Fruit Tree Pruning: Join us in the Eckstein Orchard on January 29th at 3PM.

We will  learn the basics of fruit tree pruning.  Come  learn something new and help us maintain our trees to encourage a bountiful harvest in the fall. 
We will be working with our quince tree, apple and  pear trees. No experience necessary.  This gathering is appropriate for students and their families.

Greenwood Elementary Movie Presentation: Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety

Join teachers, families and experts for a screening of the documentary: 
“
Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety”.


On January 9, 6:30-8:30pm at Greenwood Elementary 144 NW 80th, Seattle Public Schools and IndiFlix will partner to raise awareness around anxiety. The 56-minute film, appropriate for ages 10 and up, will be followed by a panel discussion about school and local supports for students and families struggling with anxiety.
