Hello from Eckstein’s Annual Campaign
Hello from Eckstein’s Annual Campaign!
We are kicking off our yearly campaign on November 7 th ! We are excited to see our school community’s
incredible involvement again this year.
Our 2022 campaign allocations will continue to focus on our diversity, inclusion and equity objectives, as
we support our entire student body. We also look forward to setting goals for improving as much
infrastructure as we can, making our school as safe as we can and raising student achievement as much
as we can.
So, let’s Raise the Dollars and Lift the Kids! Our campaign will run November 7 th - 18 th . We value equally
our families’ donations of dollars, volunteerism and feedback. These two weeks in November are the
only time Eckstein’s PTSA will ask for donations to our school. We limit these asks to this short time
period so as not to overload our school community with constant fund raising. We ask for your interest
and support during these very important two weeks! Thank you in advance for giving to Eckstein’s
Annual Campaign in whatever way feels best to your family.
Please keep your eyes out for our participation card and envelope that your student will bring home
from school THIS WEEK. We would like ALL families to return a card, REGARDLESS OF THE ABILITY TO
DONATE! Please return this card to your child’s homeroom teacher. Homerooms with the highest
levels of participation will get prizes!!
Sincerely,
EAC Co-Chairs,
Julie Matz
Lauren Abraham
Megan Sun McIntosh

Request funds
Request money from the Eckstein Annual Campaign (EAC) for your supplies, projects, or specific family needs in this time of crisis. Anyone connected to the school including staff, parents, volunteers and friends of Eckstein — should feel comfortable requesting funds.
Before doing any private fund raising, please consider contacting the EAC first. We’d like to fund your need! It’s easier for you and helps us keep our school’s parent fund-raising requests as focused as possible. Spread the word! |

What is it?
The Eckstein Annual Campaign raises money for our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) and is totally parent-funded. The entire yearly budget comes from you.
Where does the money go?
REVIEW A DETAILED LIST WHAT EAC FUNDED IN 2020-21
The PTSA uses the money to pay for extras our kids need, but the school district doesn’t provide. Things like beakers for science; books for the library; events for the kids and their families; a new sound system for the auditorium; resources for math, language arts and social studies; after school programs; coaching staff for sports; up-to-date technology; COVID-19 relief and so much more!
If you are in need of support — right now — to meet your child's educational or basic needs please contact your school counselor.
View this video to hear directly from teachers about how they have benefitted from EAC donations.
Who decides how the money is spent?
Each year, the teachers and staff of Eckstein put in “grant requests” to the PTSA. (For example, the math department may ask for new and better workbooks or the library may need new chairs.) The PTSA works with the principal to determine which grants are funded or deferred, based on need and budget.
